with our clients utilizing individual one-to-one coaching and peer
group facilitation.
One-to-One Coaching: For business and personal
coaching to work in a private one-to-one environment, eight different
action steps must occur:
- Protect time and place for each session, illustrating commitment;
- Contract with the coach to establish guidelines and expectations;
- Venture into uncomfortable spaces in order to grow;
- Focus on strategic issues rather than tactical ones;
- Welcome accountability from your coach for holding your feet
to the fire;
- Explore deep issues under the surface;
- Be prepared with any assignments;
- Honor the boundaries of the relationship at all times so no
agendas creep into the relationship.
Facilitating Executive Peer Groups: Monthly meetings
of an executive peer group or sales team engages its members. Growth
Resource groups focus on facing challenges, confrontations, caring,
leveraging, growing and pushing members to define new solutions
and hold each other accountable for increasing results.
We facilitate groups to help members:
- Focus on strategic issues and results;
- Avoid the “rush to solution” syndrome;
- Unleash the power of questioning;
- Maintain a culture of accountability;
- Check the process regularly.
